Koh Sdach

The Koh Sdach archipelago is located in Koh Kong province in the Kiri Sakor district, it consists of a group of 12 Islands all in close proximity to each other. At the centre of them lies Koh Sdach (King Island) a small bustling fishing community inhabits the island made up from a mixture of Khmer, Thai and Vietnamese. The village stretches all along the east side of the island, to the west there is a small Khmer run bungalow guesthouse and the southern end of the island belongs to the luxurious Belinda Beach Resort. Koh Sdach has two beaches one two the south and one westerly facing.

The other islands in the archipelago are mostly uninhabited which offers some exploring chances.

Koh Smach – The largest of all the islands beaches and jungle trekking.

Koh Ampil – Three small islands all inter joined at low tide by a sand spit, fishing and snorkeling

Koh Andach (Turtle Island) – This island resembles a turtle swimming along the surface, old folk tales tell it a place where treasure was found hundreds of years ago.

Koh Totang – The home of Koh Kong Divers Resort and Nomads Land beach bungalows, without doubt offers snorkeling in the area, around its rocky coasts hold huge intact coral gardens. It has two beaches westerly and easterly facing.

Koh Chan (Koh Chang) – A jungle covered island with giant boulders dropping down into the ocean, snorkeling and dive spot

Koh Slap – small island 300m from Koh Sdach, not much to visit but the strait between the two islands offer some snorkeling.

Koh Kussat – A group of 3 islands about 8 km from the centre of the archipelago – from aerial view these islands look like a bear's paw print.
